1 Sliced onion

1 knob butter

2 tbsp Grated cheddar

3 tbsp ale

1 Pukka Steak & Ale


  1. Preheat oven according to the instructions on pack- bake pie according to instructions
  2. 10 mins before pie is ready melt the butter in a non-stick pan
  3. Add sliced onions and fry until browned
  4. Add the ale and reduce until the liquid is almost gone
  5. Turn the heat off, and stir in the cheese
  6. Pour on top of the hot pie and enjoy with your favourite vegetables and potatoes

Try adding sliced mushrooms or swap the cheese for brie
